On May 21st, Armed Forces Day, Metacon Gun Club held an event to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project provides the vital services needed by severely injured veterans and their families through the support of donors. The monies received help to alleviate the financial burden on families, sponsor adaptive sports and recreation events, and provide a national voice to this newest generation of veterans. Metacon sponsored an Armed Forces personnel and family event, conducting a basic NRA pistol permit class for attending persons. The event raised a total of $700.00 for Wounded Warrior Project. Special thanks to Jim Couture, Mike D’Angelo, Ben Shim, Bruce Thompson, Peter Van Loon, Dom Basile, Art Tiede and June Shew for donating their time and support to make this event happen.
