Women on Target
Women on Target - June 7, 2014
Instructional Shooting Clinic
Women on Target is an instructional clinic designed to introduce women to the safe handling and shooting of firearms in a friendly, relaxed environment. Lessons are given by experienced, certified instructors and each participant is given individualized attention on the range. Even if you are familiar with shooting, this is a wonderful opportunity to try some of the many handguns and rifles that will be available throughout the day. The program is open to participants 13 and older, but if you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.
About the Day
This year’s clinic will be held on June 7, 2014, rain or shine. Sign-in will be between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., followed by a mandatory safety class. After the classroom instruction is complete, participants will break off into small groups and have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a number of different instructors on the outdoor and indoor ranges during the morning session from 10:00 through 12:00. We will break for lunch at noon for an hour and resume instruction for the afternoon from 1:00 until 3:00.
The cost is $65 per person and includes lunch, door prizes, ammunition, the use of firearms (do not bring your own), and the use of eye and ear protection. Applications may be downloaded under the “community events” tab on the Metacon home page.
