Handgun shooting at Metacon is very popular. Target distances between ten and one-hundred yards on our outdoor range, and distance to seventy-five feet on the indoor range provide all of e variety a handgunner could ask for. On the outdoor range, any caliber or velocity of ammunition is acceptable with a handgun.

Our heated, 24-hour accessible indoor range features nine ports. Jacketed or lead ammunition up to 1,100 fps can be used indoor. Any pistol caliber handgun or .22 rifle can be used indoor as well.

There are many events that feature handguns such as Bullseye, Northeast Combat Pistol League and Friends of Metacon.

    Instructor: Scott Jedlinsky of Modern Samauri Project will be teaching a 2-day Red Dot Pistol Class on the outdoor range. The range will be closed all day Friday 3/31/21 & Saturday 4/1/23. Bob Margolis is the host for this class and registration will open approximately 6-12 months before the class. The host will NOT reserve places for the class. at 8:00 am
